So your launch is coming up and you’ve got the jitters – launch jitters. You’re starting to get a little nervous and maybe a bit overwhelmed. That’s totally okay and normal! The nerves mean that you care and you’re excited for this to go well! And while I can’t guarantee everything will be perfect, I know for a fact that you caring this much means you’ve put a TON of hard work and effort into this launch. So early congratulations for you 🥳

Nevertheless, these launch jitters can distract you from what’s really important. So, since you’ve gotten this far, let’s get rid of them in time for open cart day. Here are a few tips for tackling the launch jitters:

Once Your Cart Opens, Take it One Day at a Time

It can be tempting to focus on the finish line during the peak of your launch but this is the time to stay grounded and PRESENT 🧘🏽‍♀️ Start by connecting with your audience.  Remind yourself of your Why and Who you want to serve with your incredible product.

And have FUN!

To get rid of these launch jitters, resist the urge to get pulled into the tiny details. Everything you’ve accomplished up to this point is fine. Of course, there’s room to grow, and ideally, you’ve gotten much of your tech, emails, and design done beforehand. But if you haven’t, now is not the time to dwell on the perfect subject line or the most ideal page background color.

The most important thing is that you get your message and your offer out there. You don’t have to be perfect, so just be you! Trust me, your audience will much rather see your authentic self than a picture-perfect, cookie-cutter, just-like-everyone-else version of you. And that includes leaving space in your CEO Brain for future improvement.

Celebrate Every Win, Including Those NOT Related to Sales

We love making money and generating sales during a launch! BUT, there’s so much else to celebrate, especially during your first launch.

Take a look at everything on your plate during this launch. Every task, every signature, every new tech add-on you’ve added to your business. Everything new and everything that’s been created can be celebrated. Because new is scary and creating is hard! Congratulations on getting it done!!! 🥳

Let’s get this celebration parade on the road. Did you send out your first webinar invite? Celebrate it! Did you finish your first live webinar? Celebrate it! Seeing some great engagement on social media? Celebrate it!

You get a celebration and you get a celebration! Everyone and everything gets a celebration 🍾 🍾🍾

Make Non-Launch Plans for During Your Launch

You need a break. A real one. And not just a Starbucks run in between meetings (I know I know, guilty 🙋🏽‍♀️). You need real, non-business, non-launching, non-CEO Brain plans.

It might sound counterintuitive but it’s true. Hyper-focusing on launch sales for several days straight could drive anyone crazy. So, start making some plans. Go to happy hour with friends, plan a spa day, sit in a book store and pick up whatever looks interesting. Doing something other than launching can help keep you balanced, out of your head and keep the launch jitters at bay.

We are very much against grind culture at The Launch Guild, and that’s still true even during high-stress moments like launching. Just because it’s important, doesn’t mean you get to burnout over it. The only way to get rid of launch jitters is to be a bit nicer to yourself. So go outside, feel the sun on your skin, and know that everything is going to be ok 🌤
